Ranked in search. Cited in AI.

AI search is a new surface, not a new ranking factor. When a model answers instead of listing links, it names a handful of sources and everyone else is invisible. We work on getting you into that handful – with a named specialist, work you own outright, and a rolling monthly agreement with no lock-in.

Companies we work with

Cited in the answer. Not just the list.

Notisum ranks #1 organically on their core terms – and #1 in AI answers in both ChatGPT and Gemini. Eight years into that relationship, an A/B test on the site also lifted their conversion rate by 48%. One client, in one market. Evidence, not a formula.

AI visibility is not proved by one screenshot

Someone shows you ChatGPT naming your company and it feels settled. It is not. These models answer differently on different days, from different accounts, in different places. We sample the same prompts at intervals and report the trend – which takes systems, not good intentions.

What does working on AI search look like?

We help established companies get reached, read, trusted and quoted by the models their buyers now ask first.

  • AI visibility analysis

Senior specialists run your priority prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, check what AI Overviews say about your category, and test whether the models can reach your pages at all. You see who is being cited instead of you, and why.

  • The Sunbird sprint

We start where the models are blocked: rendering, crawler access, pages that answer nothing near the top. Accessibility fixes can register quickly, so you see movement while the slower work is still building.

  • Visibility turned into a system

Then the part that holds: entity and schema work, content written to be quoted, and a monthly rhythm where you see which prompts moved, what changed and what we do next. It compounds over months, not weeks.

What AI search work involves

Four surfaces, one job: make your content easy for a model to reach, read, trust and quote. Some call it GEO, some call it AEO. The work behind both names is the same.

Get your free AI search analysis

We rewrite the parts of a page a model has to work with: a direct answer to the actual question near the top, claims that carry a number, a source and a date, and definitions that survive being lifted out of context.

Separate crawlers, separate rules. We check what each AI crawler is allowed to fetch, whether your important content survives rendering, whether it sits behind scripts or logins, and how fast the pages respond.

Models need to know what you are, not just what your page says. Consistent naming across the sites and profiles that describe you, structured data that states the entity plainly, and connections to the people, products and topics you belong with.

Nobody types a keyword into ChatGPT. We build the set of questions a real buyer asks on the way to choosing someone like you – from broad category questions down to whether you specifically are any good at the thing they need – and run the set at intervals.

Per prompt we record three things: whether you are named, in what context (recommended, listed, mentioned in passing, mentioned unfavourably), and which page or third-party source the model cited to get there. Monthly report, movement over time, what we do next.

Where an assistant passes a referrer, the visits it sends are measurable – and we set that tracking up properly rather than guessing at it. Volumes are still small next to organic search, and we report them honestly, including when they are small.

Almost everything that gets cited is also retrievable through conventional search, so organic strength is what this is built on, not what it replaces. If anyone tells you to stop doing search and do AI instead, be sceptical.

Scalable AI. Human precision.

Senior search specialists plus 30 systems we built in-house, sampling prompts and watching citations around the clock. Every recommendation that reaches your site is reviewed and signed off by a person who is accountable for it.

Our philosophy

Four promises that shape Sunbird, and what it is like to work with us.

  • Data you understand

You should be able to trust the numbers and defend them, to yourselves, to the leadership team and to the board. No black box.

  • Results you can feel

Growth should be felt day to day and visible in revenue, not in clicks and impressions.

  • Partnership, not delivery

We build an environment to grow and accelerate in. Where we understand you better every day, and results build instead of tailing off.

  • We want more

Because we cannot help ourselves. And because we only win when you do. Our job is to stay at the front, so you never have to wonder whether your agency is keeping up.

The field is young. We would rather explain it than claim we have it solved.

We measure this in citations and in the trend over time – not in one good answer on one good day. Nobody can guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend you, and a guarantee is a warning sign. What we can do is make your pages genuinely quotable on the questions that matter, measure whether the models pick you up, and tell you plainly when they do not.

That is why we have no lock-in. Rolling monthly, one month’s notice. You stay because it works and you are growing.

Common questions about AI search

Short answers to what we are asked most – and what you should ask anyone selling you AI visibility.

Both, honestly. The technical and editorial foundations overlap heavily with good SEO. What is genuinely new is the target – being cited inside an answer rather than ranked in a list – along with how you measure it and how much entity and structured-data work it takes.

Yes, and you would anyway. Organic search still sends far more traffic than AI assistants do for almost every company we see. AI visibility is where the trend is going, not where the volume is today. Treat it as a position you take early, not a replacement for the channel paying the bills.

No. Nobody can, and you should treat a guarantee as a warning sign. We can make you a genuinely quotable source on the questions that matter, measure whether the models are picking you up, and tell you plainly when they are not.

Technical accessibility fixes can register quickly. Entity and content work compounds over months. We would rather set expectations for month twelve than for week three.

We track prompts rather than keywords, and we sample them repeatedly because these models are non-deterministic – the same question can produce different answers on different days. Per prompt we log whether you are named, in what context, and which source the model cited to get there. That last one usually tells you where to work next.

Because this is a young discipline and you should be able to walk away if it is not working. Rolling monthly agreement, one month’s notice – which puts the pressure where it belongs, on us.

It depends on whether your content is the product. For most companies selling a service or a product, being quoted is the point. For publishers whose archive is the asset, the maths is different. It is a commercial decision, not a technical one, so we lay out the trade-off rather than make it for you.

Mostly the name. GEO stands for generative engine optimisation, AEO for answer engine optimisation. Both describe the same work: making your content easy for a model to reach, read, trust and quote. Be wary of anyone selling them as two separate services.

Because the surface changes month to month and the measurement is the hard part. Sampling prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity often enough to see a trend, keeping crawler access and rendering healthy, and doing the slow entity work is rarely something you have time to run yourselves. You get a team that does it continuously – so when a buyer asks a model who they should talk to, your name is in the answer.
