Fewer searches. Better buyers.

In B2B, the searches that matter are a short list with high value attached, and the deal closes months after the click. We build the search work around the people who can actually sign, and we measure it against qualified leads and pipeline rather than sessions.

Companies we work with

Long cycles. Longer relationships.

B2B results arrive on the buyer’s timeline, not on the reporting month. The work that puts you on a shortlist in March is what shows up as pipeline in July – and it keeps compounding from there.

A traffic report is the least useful document in B2B

Forty searches a month can be your entire addressable market. Four thousand can be almost entirely irrelevant to it. Traffic up and to the right is compatible with a pipeline that has not moved at all, so we start from the opposite end: who signs, and what they search on the way to signing.

What does a B2B SEO partnership look like?

We build search around the people who can sign – and measure it against qualified leads and pipeline rather than sessions.

  • Free B2B SEO analysis

Where you are visible on the terms your buyers actually use, which of those terms are commercial and which are job seekers, what your competitors are taking, the technical state of the site, and whether your measurement can connect a click to a deal. You keep the findings whether or not you hire us.

  • Priority order, then build

Ranked by effect on pipeline rather than on traffic, with an honest note on which parts your own team could do. Measurement goes first – in a long-cycle business a decision made on bad attribution stays expensive for a year – then the bottom-of-funnel pages, then the technical work.

  • A monthly rhythm you can call

A named specialist you can reach on UK hours, reporting that leads with qualified leads and pipeline instead of sessions, and a rolling agreement you can end with a month's notice.

The work itself

Everything B2B search needs in one team – keyword sets, bottom-of-funnel pages, technical work, authority and the measurement that ties it to pipeline. Nothing gets dropped.

We cluster terms by the results they genuinely share, so one page owns one intent instead of three pages splitting it. Then we sort what is left by who is searching and how close they are to a decision – and tell you which parts of the list are not worth your money, even though they have volume.

Comparison and alternatives pages, integration and compatibility pages, use case and industry pages, and the pages that answer the questions that appear once someone senior joins the conversation. They rank faster than the category term and convert at a different rate entirely.

Your buyer evaluates suppliers for a living and can tell within a paragraph whether the writer has done the work. Specificity, numbers with a source and a date, honest limitations and documentation-grade detail – briefed by people who have read your category and signed off by someone accountable for it.

Marketing site, documentation and an application on a subdomain – often on a framework that makes a crawler work for the content that matters. Plus the gating decision: what sits behind a form, what does not, and what that costs you in visibility. We show you the trade-off rather than make it for you.

Buyers now ask ChatGPT or Gemini for a supplier shortlist before they open a results page, and the model names a handful of sources. We work on being one of them: the entity and structured-data work that tells a model what you are, plus the content properties that make you quotable.

In a category where buyers are professionals, links follow from work that is genuinely worth citing: original data, real expertise, partnerships and the trade press that covers your sector. We tell you where every link came from – and if your category can be won without a link programme, we say so.

A qualified lead defined before anything else, the visit connected to the outcome across a window long enough to hold your real sales cycle, and a monthly report that leads with qualified leads and pipeline rather than sessions.

Scalable AI. Human precision.

Senior search specialists plus 30 systems we built in-house, reading and drafting at a scale a team cannot match – and a person signs off everything that reaches your site.

Our philosophy

Four promises that shape Sunbird, and what it is like to work with us.

  • Data you understand

You should be able to trust the numbers and defend them, to yourselves, to the leadership team and to the board. No black box.

  • Results you can feel

Growth should be felt in the conversations your sales team has, and visible in pipeline and revenue – not in clicks and impressions.

  • Partnership, not delivery

We build an environment to grow and accelerate in. Where we understand you better every day, and results build instead of tailing off.

  • We want more

Because we cannot help ourselves. And because we only win when you do. Our job is to stay at the front, so you never have to wonder whether your agency is keeping up.

Nearly 15 years in search taught us one thing: in B2B, pipeline is the only report that matters.

We measure results in qualified leads and pipeline – not in curves that point upwards while sales stand still. A form submission is not a lead, and an attribution window that ends before your sales cycle does will always undervalue the work that produced the deal.

That is why we have no lock-in. Rolling monthly, one month’s notice. You stay because it works and you are growing.

Common questions about B2B SEO

Short answers to what B2B and SaaS teams ask most – and what you should ask any agency you are considering.

Often more worth it than in a high-volume category: the competition is thinner and one customer pays for a year of work. What changes is how you judge it. Measured on sessions, a low-volume B2B programme looks like a failure while it is working. The analysis tells you whether the volume that exists justifies the effort – and that answer is sometimes no.

Leading indicators inside a couple of months, qualified leads after that, and revenue on your own sales cycle rather than ours. We would rather set your expectation for month twelve than for week three, so you get a realistic range in the analysis instead of a number that sounds good today.

Against qualified leads and pipeline. We agree what a qualified lead is before anything else – not a form submission – then connect the search visit to enquiry, qualified lead, opportunity and closed won, with a window long enough to contain your actual sales cycle. We run our own UK account exactly that way: the only conversion our bidding optimises towards is a lead a person has judged to be a real potential customer and pushed back from our CRM. Form submissions are measured and reported, never used as a bidding signal.

Yes, and we would insist on it. If sales and marketing disagree about what a qualified lead is, that argument has to be settled before the measurement is built, because everything downstream inherits the definition. Sorting that out is part of the first month.

For the full measurement model, yes – or at least an agreed way of getting outcomes back out of it. If that is not possible we can still work, with a weaker signal, and we will be clear about exactly what is being given up.

Yes. Product-led funnels change the measurement: a free trial is not a qualified lead and a sign-up is not a customer, so we measure against your activation definition rather than the count of sign-ups. Comparison and alternatives pages carry more weight here than anywhere else, and your documentation is a search asset – it is disproportionately what AI assistants cite.

Yes, and in B2B the two support each other unusually well: paid tells you within weeks which evaluation terms produce real conversations, and organic is what holds them afterwards. The qualified lead stays the target in both, uploaded from your CRM against the click that started it.

We work with companies across the UK and Europe, in English and on UK hours, with a named contact you can call. Search is the same discipline wherever the buyer is – the language, the competitors and the buying habits change, and that is what we adapt to. We deliver in 10 countries today.

A rolling monthly agreement with one month’s notice. No lock-in, no minimum term, and everything we build – pages, tracking, content and links – is in your name and stays with you.
